Built at the beginning of the 20th century, Villa Le Sphinx was one of the first to be built on the water's edge, on the point where there is a rock from which it has taken its name: the rock of the Sphinx. With its typically Breton architecture overlooking Trestignel beach, it has been known since 1936 as an emblematic hotel of the Pink Granite Coast.

An eco-responsible hotel, committed to the future
Les Bassans is part of an exemplary sustainable renovation programme, with the aim of achieving BREEAM Very Good certification. We have introduced a demanding construction and renovation charter, incorporating eco-designed and eco-labelled materials, optimised resource management and high thermal and acoustic performance.
Every choice reflects our commitment: stained FSC oak, panels made from natural hemp fibre, certified virgin wool carpeting, etc. Thanks to a building management system (BMS), we can monitor energy consumption in real time to ensure that our footprint remains under control. A green worksite shaping the future of hospitality.
Spotlight on Breton crafts
For Les Bassans, we're celebrating Breton craftsmanship through collaborations with local artisans. Valentine Benoist has created a selection of ceramics with raw, sensitive lines. Conceived as an extension of Brittany's natural environment, these hand-crafted pieces are a welcome addition to our tables and in our boutique, where they blend with the art of living and emotional craftsmanship. Gwilenour mosaic partner, transforms dredged marine sediments into unique pavements, combining sustainable innovation with maritime heritage. These collaborations give the hotel a meaningful and committed place in the region, by promoting materials and techniques that respect the environment.
